Carole Landis & Raquel Welch
In 1940 Carole starred as a sexy cave woman named Loana in One Million B.C. Twenty-six years later bombshell Raquel Welch played the same role in a remake of the film titled One Million Years B.C. Both movies received mixed reviews but were big box-office hits. Playing Loana turned Carole and Raquel into major stars.
Carole's costume was considered very risque for 1940. When Raquel wore a fur bikini in the remake it became an iconic look.
Carole was 21 when she starred as Loana. Raquel was 26 when she played the role.
Carole and her cast filmed in black and white. Raquel's remake was filmed in color.
